The fabulous weather is just not quitting...85-90 F

Can you believe that this is not the French Riviera!

Modesty ( I have to give some excuse for no pic) prevents me from presenting photos of me swimming in the Baltic off the coast of Ingarö this past weekend - only 30 min drive from our apt on Västmannagatan in the city - water temp 23 degrees centigrade!.


Yesterday, 7 August at 5:30 PM on a Waxholms boast returning to Stockholm from yet another excursion into the Stockholm archipelago - this time the southern island of Ornö - 59 degrees 05' north - longitude, 18 degrees 25' E. Kyrkvik - great restaurant there too!

Neil enjoying the view and in spite of having Scottish skin has managed to get a tan here at 59 degrees north - unheard of in the history of Sweden!

Last Friday, my friend Rebecca from Dallas via New Mexico ventured out to Husarö only to discover that the restaurant there had burned down in May this year. The owner, a Dane who has been in Sweden since 1988, standing in the middle of the rubble had set up a grill and had ice cold beer on tap!!! and a promise that the former restaurant will be up and running again next season. He also owns the restaurant at Diesel Verkstad in Nacka.
