One fabulous summer - July 2006

Despite endless forcasts of rain the sun has been shining for almost the entire month of July - We've spent beautiful lazy days out in the archipelago - where wonderful gourmet-like restaurants have popped up - a big change from 35 years ago. Delicious lunches have been comsumed on Nämdö, Finnhamn and Feja. Tomorrow Möja is our target. Last Thursday I "picked-up" an Östermalm widow of 70+ on the bus to Norrtälje - I was making a trip to Astrid Lindgren's Saltkråkeörana by myself and asked the lady next to me if I was on the right bus - she liked my destination so much she came along with me! These pics are from Norröra and Söderöra - who needs the Caribbean. Not your typical gourmet meal but the waffles were homemade and fresh.

Stockholm? Stockholm is great when the sun shines.

17 July - Out in the archipelago for on glorius trip to Finnhamn including a dip in the Baltic as one does of course - this is the view from the restaurant. Yes, I was able to find a place out here that has a restaurant. Will go anywhere if I don't have to cook or camp. Next week Möja.
21 July -Rebecca, Ellen and Anne outside of Fotografins Hus on Skeppsholmen wondering about the book choice for August. I'll begin working as a volunteer here on Wednesdays (Ellen does Thursdays) starting in September. Fotogrfins Hus has a great café and fabulous view of Djurgården.
